Hyderabad: Telangana’s IT and Industries Minister, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, has unveiled plans to establish two new IT parks in Hyderabad’s suburbs. Speaking at a high-level meeting on Tuesday at the Secretariat, attended by representatives from Dew Software, which has proposed an investment of Rs100 crore, the minister reaffirmed the state’s commitment to strengthening the IT sector.
Expanding Hyderabad’s IT Landscape
“Hyderabad has emerged as a fast-growing IT hub, attracting significant investments from leading global companies. To sustain this momentum, we have decided to develop two additional IT parks, similar to HITEC City,” Sridhar Babu said.As per a Deccan Herald report, a detailed study is currently underway to determine the best locations and land requirements for the new parks. “We are identifying well-connected areas in the outskirts to ensure seamless accessibility for employees and investors,” he added.
The proposed IT parks will be equipped with world-class infrastructure and essential facilities to support professionals. Emphasising the importance of accessibility, the minister stated that robust transport systems would be in place to ensure seamless commuting across the city.
Addressing the challenges of land acquisition, he acknowledged the difficulties faced by industries and announced plans for a dedicated land allocation policy. He explained that the new policy would allocate land based on investment scale and job creation potential, making the process more streamlined for entrepreneurs.
Welcoming a Rs 100 crore investment from Dew Software, the minister highlighted its role in boosting employment opportunities.
