In a major decision, Disney+ is set to soften its content warnings ahead of its classic movies like Dumbo, The Aristocats, Peter Pan, and more. The overall shift in its DEI strategy is a ripple effect of President Donald Trump returning to office.
Variety reported, quoting Axios that its change in guidelines is to "diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives." In the wake of this, its content warnings which appear during pre-roll of a film will be tweaked, arguably softened.

Disney's history of content warnings

Disney first added content warnings in 2019, to movies starting Dumbo, when racist depictions were alleged in its films dating 1940s and 1950s. Its previous text read that these films contain "negative depictions and/or mistreatment of peoples or cultures."
