Pune: A violent clash broke out between two groups of students from a reputed college in Loni Kalbhor, Pune, on Monday afternoon, leaving the campus atmosphere tense. The brawl, which was caught on CCTV and widely circulated on social media, showed students aggressively chasing and assaulting others, with some tearing their clothes during the scuffle.
The incident reportedly stemmed from a minor argument that occurred on Sunday between second and third-year engineering students. The disagreement escalated the following day, leading to the chaotic fight in the open.
Inspector J Karankot of Loni Kalbhor police station confirmed the incident, stating, “Some students have been taken into custody, and a probe is on. The clash erupted over a trivial issue.”

In the CCTV footage, students are seen running behind a few individuals and attacking them in an aggressive manner, which has drawn sharp criticism online.
The police have detained several students involved in the clash and are conducting further investigations to ascertain the exact cause and take appropriate action.
