CHIRANJEEVI

Konidela Siva Sankara Vara Prasad, known professionally as Chiranjeevi, is an Indian film actor and politician, predominantly appearing in Telugu cinema. Born on August 22, 1955, in Mogalthur, Andhra Pradesh, India, Chiranjeevi has appeared in over 150 films, primarily in Telugu cinema, but also in Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi films. He is one of the most prominent figures in the history of Indian cinema and is known for his breakdancing skills, powerful performances, and philanthropic efforts.

Chiranjeevi made his acting debut in 1978 with the film "Punadhirallu." However, his role in the 1983 film "Khaidi" catapulted him to stardom, establishing him as a leading actor in Telugu cinema. Known for his versatility, Chiranjeevi has played a wide range of roles, from action heroes to comedic leads, earning him numerous awards and accolades, including the Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian award, in 2006 for his contributions to Indian cinema.

In addition to his acting career, Chiranjeevi has been involved in politics, serving as the Minister of State with independent charge for the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, from 2012 to 2014. He is also the founder of the Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust, which is involved in humanitarian activities.

Chiranjeevi is married to Surekha Konidela and has three children, including Ram Charan Teja, who is also a prominent actor in Telugu cinema. Beyond his film and political career, Chiranjeevi is an avid golfer and a philanthropist, with his charitable trust providing emergency relief and healthcare to those in need.
