Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro Max is set to be one of the biggest and most powerful smartphones of 2025. While the iPhone 17 lineup is still months away from its expected September launch, early leaks have already started surfacing, giving us a glimpse of what to expect. Apple is rumoured to introduce a new "iPhone 17 Air" or "iPhone 17 Slim" model alongside the usual iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and the top-end iPhone 17 Pro Max. While the new model may steal some attention, the Pro Max is expected to boast the most premium features, including a new chipset, upgraded cameras, and possibly a redesigned frame.

Apple typically unveils its new iPhones in early September, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max will likely follow the same pattern. Reports suggest the launch could happen between September 11 and September 13. The official sale date may fall on September 19.

When it comes to pricing, Apple hasn’t confirmed anything, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max starts at Rs 1,44,900. It’s safe to assume that the iPhone 17 Pro Max will either match or exceed this price.

The iPhone 17 Pro Max could introduce some notable design shifts. One leak suggests Apple is testing a unified volume and Action button. Another rumour claims Apple might switch from a titanium frame to aluminium.

Multiple sources indicate that Apple will equip the iPhone 17 Pro Max with a 48MP telephoto lens, a massive jump from the current 12MP sensor. This would mean a camera setup with three 48MP lenses. The front camera could also see an upgrade, possibly jumping to 24MP.

The phone is expected to retain its large 6.9-inch display, with improvements in power efficiency and durability. Under the hood, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is expected to pack the A19 Pro chipset, offering improved AI capabilities and efficiency. It could also come with 12GB of RAM, up from 8GB, ensuring smoother multitasking and performance. Apple may even introduce a vapor chamber cooling system to prevent overheating.

With months still to go before its launch, more leaks are sure to emerge. But if these early details hold true, the iPhone 17 Pro Max could be Apple’s most advanced smartphone yet.
