The actor himself has shared the news on his social media handle after participating in a video conference chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday.
Chiranjeevi Thanks Modi For The Honour
Chiranjeevi in his post thanked Modi for inducting him into the advisory board of Waves – a global summit that brings together the world of entertainment, creativity, and culture. It is being organised by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to celebrate and amplify India’s creative and media economy. On Friday Modi interacted with top professionals from different walks of life who are part of the Advisory Board of the WAVES Summit.
“Thank you Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji for this honor.It was indeed a privilege to be part of the Advisory Board for WAVES ( World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit ) and share my two cents along with other esteemed members. I have no doubts that #WAVES, the brain child of Shri Modi ji will Propel India’s ‘SOFT POWER’ to its deserving heights in the world. Brace for all the Excitement and breaking new grounds very soon,” Chiranjeevi posted.

Chiranjeevi shared a video of PM mentioning his name as part of the video conference. Actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Diljit Dosanjh, Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and AR Rahman were also part of the virtual discussion.
