NO Payment To Kendrick Lamar For Super Bowl Halftime 2025 Performance, Here's Why

Grammy-winner Kendrick Lamar, who is all set to perform at Super Bowl Halftime after his announcement in September 2024 is revealed to not being paid for the performance. Even after months of preparation, the singer pay-check will be cancelled.

Super Bowl Halftime, one of the 'most-watched' shows with a runtime of 12-15 minutes have artists and singers from diverse nations, helping them earn name, fame but no money. Recently, it is revealed that though the singers get the world's attention which acts as a stepping-stone in their career, they are only paid the cover expenses, production costs and travel expenses to an extent.

In 2016, one of The National Football League (NFL) team members clarified, "We do not pay the artists. We cover expenses and production costs." The performing artists are compensated only on a union scale, setting the minimum guaranteed amount set by a union contract. The amount generally costs $1000 per day.

A five-time Grammy winner for his song Not Like Us, Kendrick Lamar will be performing live at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, three years after his last performance in 2022 alongside Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre.

After the Super Bowl Halftime 2025, Kendrick Lamar and SZA are all set to perform at Villa Park on July 10, as part of their Grand National Tour. It will take over 13 stadiums across Europe and the United Kingdom in 2025.
