RAJINIKANTH

Rajinikanth, born Shivaji Rao Gaekwad on December 12, 1950, in Bangalore, Mysore State (now Karnataka), India, is a legendary actor and cultural icon in Indian cinema, particularly in Tamil cinema. With a career spanning over five decades, Rajinikanth has appeared in over 160 films, crossing the barriers of language to include Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada films. Rajinikanth made his acting debut in 1975 with the Tamil film "Apoorva Raagangal," directed by K. Balachander, who became a mentor to him.
