Ranveer Allahbadia aka BeerBiceps, has been summoned by Mumbai Police after an FIR was filed against him for passing distasteful comments about parents’ intimacy on Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent. Recently, Bollywood actor Tanuj Virwani, who hosted Splitsvilla X5, had an exclusive interaction with Zoom where he shared his views on Ranveer’s comment and said that he will never go to Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent.
Tanuj Virwani on Ranveer Allahbadia-IGL controversy
When asked about Ranveer Allahbadia’s comment on India’s Got Latent, Tanuj Virwani said, “I happened to see a snippet of it yesterday, and honestly, I was pretty taken aback. I love the work Ranveer (Allahbadia) does, his podcasts, and the stimulating conversations he has. He truly seems like a young lad at the top of his game. His words on this particular occasion are not only deeply disappointing but also a disservice to himself and the legacy he’s been building. As public figures, one needs to know where to draw the line. We can’t be so blinded by the need to appear funny at any cost that we forget just how wrong and offensive we may end up being.”
Tanuj Virwani also feels that Ranveer Allahbadia must be regretting what he said on India’s Got Latent. The One Night Stand actor said, “I am sure there’s no one who regrets this more than Ranveer himself. It’s certainly time for some introspection, but I’m confident that he will learn and give a much better account of himself in the future. Remember, Ranveer, with great power comes great responsibility.”

Many netizens have been demanding that Mumbai Police arrest Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia for their deeds on the show. While reacting to the same, Tanuj Virwani stated, “No, now that’s taking it a bit too far. Yes, he should have to pay a price for his words and actions, but he is not a criminal, and putting him behind bars is not the solution. In my honest opinion, the punishment does not fit the crime.”
Tanuj Virwani will not appear on India’s Got Latent
Tanuj Virwani has also confessed that he will never appear on India’s Got Latent if Samay Raina approaches him to be one of the panel members. The Inside Edge fame said, “Absolutely not. It’s not a show that resonates with me. With my carefree nature, I think it would be easy for me to say something I regret.”
For the unversed, Ranveer Allahbadia had asked a controversial question to a contestant. He asked, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?” After receiving backlash, the makers removed the episode from Samay Raina’s channel.
