Riyan Parag recently addressed the controversy surrounding his leaked YouTube search history, which went viral last year during one of his live streams. During the stream, fans took screenshots of Parag’s explicit searches related to Ananya Panday and Sara Ali Khan and shared them on social media. The cricketer faced widespread criticism and was brutally trolled.

Riyan Parag Breaks Silence on His Viral Search History Controversy

In a chat with City1016 Radio, Riyan Parag explained how the incident happened. He revealed that he was simply trying to play music on YouTube when his search history accidentally got exposed. Parag realised what had happened only after the stream ended but chose to remain silent until now, claiming the situation was blown out of proportion. "I had just finished the IPL. We were in Chennai, finished the match, and got on a Discord call with my streaming team. This incident happened before the IPL but only got publicized afterward," Parag explained. "One of the guys on my Discord team tried to set me up, but that got taken down quickly. After the IPL, the hype was still there, and I’d had a good season. "When I opened my stream, I didn’t have Spotify or Apple Music—everything had been deleted. So I went on YouTube to play music, but during the stream, my search history got exposed. I didn’t realize it until after the stream ended, and I thought, ‘Oh s**t, this just happened.’ It was blown way out of proportion," Parag added. "I didn’t think it was worth clarifying publicly because no one would really understand," he clarified.

Riyan Parag Bounces Back After Injury

Following a stellar IPL 2024 season with the Rajasthan Royals, Parag earned a spot in India’s T20I squad. He made his debut on the Zimbabwe tour right after the T20 World Cup and has since played nine T20Is, later making his ODI debut in a series against Sri Lanka in August. However, Parag missed the South Africa tour last year and wasn’t part of the recent home T20I series against England due to an injury. He made his return to competitive cricket last month, playing for Assam in the Ranji Trophy against Saurashtra, where he scored a fifty and picked up two wickets.
