Sajin Gopu-Anaswara Rajan Starrer Painkili Cleared For Release With U Certificate

With just three days to go for its release, the makers of the upcoming Sajin Gopu-Anaswara Rajan romantic comedy film Painkili took to their social media to announce that the film had been cleared for release with a clean U certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The trailer of the film was released recently, which revealed an array of interesting characters, each of whom were shown to be crazy about being in love or the idea of it, resulting in a comedic caper filled with some hilarious moments.

Painkili also stars Aavesham-fame Roshan Shanavas, Chandu Salimkumar, Abu Salim, Jisma Vimal, filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery, Riyaz Khan and Ashwathy B, among others. The film, directed by Sreejith Babu, has cinematography by Arjun Sethu, editing by Kiran Das, and music by Justin Varghese. The film will hit the big screens on February 14, on Valentines Day.

Sreejith Babu started his career as an assistant to director Aashiq Abu on Rani Padmini (2015), and is best known for his acting roles in Maheshinte Prathikaaram (2016), Romancham (2023), and Aavesham. The upcoming film has been written by Aavesham director Jithu Madhavan, who has also co-produced it alongside Fahadh Faasil and Arjun Sethu.

Sajin, who rose to fame with his notable performances in both of Jithu Madhavan's directorials Romancham and Aavesham, was recently seen with Basil Joseph in Ponman, which is renowned production designer Jothish Shankar's first outing as a filmmaker; and Kunchacko Boban's upcoming film with director Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval.
