For the Delhi phase, Samsung has successfully conducted the Galaxy Empowered programme in 250 schools.

Samsung recently launched the Galaxy Empowered programme to transform education in India by training teachers, principals and administrators. It aims to improve digital learning by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technology into classrooms and providing educators with training, mentorship, and certification.
Since December 2024, over 2,700 teachers have received certificates through live training sessions. The South Korean tech giant aims to train 20,000 teachers across India by 2025. In an exclusive conversation with Times Now Tech, Aditya Babbar, Vice President of MX Business at Samsung India, shared that 3,500 teachers have already participated in different learning modules under Galaxy Empowered.
According to Babbar, the programme is not just about digital education but about creating a collaborative platform for teachers.
"Teachers are at the core of shaping the future. If we can bring digital education to them, it will make a real impact. This programme focuses on peer-to-peer learning, mentorship, and even educator well-being," Babbar said.
Since its inception in December 2024, over 3,500 teachers across India have already participated in various learning modules under Galaxy Empowered. The initiative includes both online and offline training, with specialised academicians guiding teachers through interactive sessions.
While the initiative has seen a positive response, Babbar also discussed the challenges in scaling such programmes across India.
"When we go to the tier-two, tier-three kind of a city, there are a lot of adaptations you need to make here. A lot of people want content to be customised into languages, low internet bandwidth and the need for customised content.
Samsung is working on making learning more accessible by leveraging AI for real-time translation and customisation.
"Imagine a teacher getting an English document, but with AI, they can instantly translate it into Hindi or their preferred language. AI is making learning more inclusive," Babbar added.
The Galaxy Empowered programme is free for both teachers and schools, ensuring that financial constraints do not limit access to quality education. Educators also receive perks, including free workshops, certifications and discounts on Samsung devices.
The Korean company is planning to continue expanding the initiative and making it a self-sustaining platform.
For the Delhi phase, Samsung has successfully conducted the “Galaxy Empowered” programme in 250 schools. Apart from partnering with Mahattattva Educational Advisory and STTAR for the first phase, specialized trainers and academicians have been appointed to help the teachers through the programme.
"We are not working with any single board but have created a platform where teachers, principals, and industry experts can collaborate. Our goal is to make Galaxy Empowered a hub where educators can learn, grow, and support each other," Babbar said.
As Samsung continues to push for digital learning in Indian schools, Babbar hinted at a larger scale rollout in the near future.
"We have already touched 3,500 teachers. This is just the beginning. I assure you, when we meet again, the number will be much, much bigger," he noted.
