Sanam Teri Kasam Creates History As It Surpasses Original Collection In 2 Days; Set To Cross Rs 10 Crore

Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane's romantic drama Sanam Teri Kasam, which was released in 2016, recently made its way back to cinema halls. The audience is now showering the film with the love and appreciation it truly deserves with social media flooding with emotional videos and positive reviews. The amazing response is also reflecting in its box office numbers. In just two days of its re-release, the film has made history.

The film opened at Rs 4.25 on its day 1 at the box office. On Saturday, it saw a jump in numbers with audiences flocking to theatres. Sanam Teri Kasam surpassed its original collection by minting Rs 5.25 crore. This brought its total to Rs 9.50 crore.

According to real-time reports, the film has already crossed the Rs 10 crore mark.

The Hashvardhan starrer has also left new releases, Junaid Khan-Khushi Kapoor's Loveyappa and Himesh Reshammiya's Badass Ravi Kumar, behind in the numbers race.

A sequel to the fan-favourite is also in the works. It was announced last year in September. "Sanam Teri Kasam 2 is officially happening! After the epic love story of the first film, we’re back with more!" the makers had tweet.
