Tumbbad Re-Release Box Office Collection Day 7: Directed by Rahi Anil Barve, the film was re-released in theatres on September 13, this year and it has already surpassed the original run. Starring Sohum Shah in the lead role, the film received fantastic responses and is inching towards the Rs 15 crore mark in India.

Becoming the highest opening re-release in Hindi cinema, the film earned Rs 1.65 crore on its first day. Now, Sohum Shah shared how much the film earned on day 7. Tumbbad remained steady and minted Rs 1.33 crore. Now, the total collection of the film is Rs 13.44 crore.

Despite being available for free on digital platforms, the re-release's success highlights its popularity. A sequel, Tumbbad Part 2, has been announced, fueled by the positive response to the re-release. Moreover, the high marketing costs for the re-release paid off, generating increased interest for the sequel.

The story follows Vinayak Rao, who becomes greedy and obsessed while looking for a mythical treasure guarded by a dark force named Hastar. Tumbbad was a big success, earning eight nominations at the 64th Filmfare Awards and winning three for Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, and Best Sound Design.
