Two Armymen Die In IED Blast In Jammu & Kashmir's Akhnoor Sector
Two soldiers died in an IED blast in Laleali area along the LoC in the Akhnoor sector, Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. One soldier was reportedly injured.

Srinagar: An army captain among two armymen was killed and one soldier was injured in an IED explosion in Laleali area along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Akhnoor sector, Jammu & Kashmir on Tuesday, Indian army officials said.
Indian Amry's Knight Corps, in a post on X, said, "Suspected Improvised Explosive Device blast reported in #Laleali in #Akhnoor Sector during a fence patrol resulting in two fatalities."
"Own troops are dominating the area and search #operations are underway. White Knight Corps salutes and pays tribute to the supreme sacrifice of two gallant soldiers."
Earlier in the day, a similar IED blast occurred in Chattisgarh's Sukma district, injuring a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel. The IED was planted by Naxalites near a CRPF camp under Jagargunda police station limits, bordering Dantewada district. The incident during an "area domination and search" operation by security personnel, said RK Barman, additional superintendent of police, Dantewada, according to Hindustan Times.
Another IED blast occurred in Bijapur district on February 4, injuring two security personnel. On Jan 17, two BSF personnel were injured triggered by Naxalites in Chhattisgarh's Narayanpur district. On January 16, two CoBRA commandos from the CRPF sustained injuries in a pressure IED explosion in Bijapur.
