Apoorva Mukhija aka Rebel Kid Reaches Police Station After Being Summoned In India's Got Latent Controversy

Apoorva Mukhija, also known as Rebel Kid, arrived at the police station on Tuesday morning after being summoned in connection with the ongoing controversy surrounding India's Got Latent. The influencer is being investigated for her involvement in the show's offensive remarks.

News agency IANS tweeted, "Mumbai, Maharashtra: Apoorva Mukhija Aka 'The Rebel Kid' reached Mumbai’s Khar Police Station with her lawyer after being summoned again to record her statement. The case is linked to the ongoing 'India’s Got Latent' controversy, with authorities investigating the matter further."

YouTubers Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina and others have also been summoned in the case. On Tuesday, comedian Ashish Chanchlani's legal representative was also spotted at the Khar police station.

The National Commission for Women (NCW) has also summoned the content creators and several others for questioning in relation to the controversy surrounding the India's Got Latent show. In a letter, they stated, "In a society that upholds equality and mutual respect, these remarks, which have triggered significant public outrage, undermine the dignity and respect that every individual deserves."

NCW Chairperson Smt. Vijaya Rahatkar has scheduled a hearing to discuss the controversial comments made by the panellists on India's Got Latent. The hearing is set to take place at the NCW office in New Delhi on February 17.

The Maharashtra Cyber Cell has also filed a case against 30 to 40 individuals, which includes all the celebrity judges who graced the controversial show. Currently, notices are being sent out. Those summoned will soon be required to appear before the Cyber Cell to provide their statements.
